Syed Rahman, the proprietor, has taken a firm pledge to support national and local charities and benevolent causes by raising £1,000,000 by 2025 through fundraising events held at Chef and Spice, along with our affiliated establishment, Cuisine Of India.
Our venues have the capacity to accommodate groups of up to 150 individuals, with tickets priced at £20. Out of this amount, £10 (50%) will be directly allocated to the charity being supported, while the remaining £10 contributes to the restaurant. Although the latter sum may not fully cover the cost of providing a meal for one person, it holds little significance to us, as our utmost priority lies in assisting our community and fostering positive change.
Furthermore, event organizers have the option to conduct raffles or auctions during these charitable evenings, aiming to generate additional funds.
In alignment with our philanthropic endeavours, our sister establishment, Cuisine of India in Wigston, also hosts similar charity nights. Collectively, both restaurants have successfully raised over £800,000 as of May 2023.
